Jurgen Klopp has been speaking about our left-back Alberto Moreno’s injury.
The squad members who were not called up for this week’s international friendlies are currently on a warm-weather training camp in Tenerife – and Moreno is amongst them.
“It’s really big for us. We let him come in this morning, training light – no real challenges, he could pass a few balls and things like this,” said Klopp. (via official site)
“But it was really good and he felt absolutely nothing, so from tomorrow he is completely back in the race, which is very important for us.”
It should mean Moreno will be fit to face Spurs at Anfield in our next league game on Saturday 2nd April.
Moreno was injured ahead of our Europa League last-16 second leg against Man Utd and subsequently missed our 3-2 loss to Southampton last Sunday.

Klopp also provided a brief update on our other absentees.
“Roberto Firmino is in a good way and Lucas [Leiva] is in a good way here. Joe Gomez and Danny Ings can work really hard and use the time here.
“It’s good for all. We are close together and it’s a nice camp, to be honest. It’s really good, a lot of swimmers around us! The best swimmers of Germany I saw here.
“It’s a busy place where we train but the hotel when we go and have a little sleep after lunch and enjoy the time is important. Hard work and then good rest – that’s what makes success probable.”
