Thousands of fans left unhappy with Anfield seat allocation

Liverpool season ticket holders are currently in the midst of choosing their new seats in the soon-to-be-redeveloped Main Stand.

Anyone who currently holds a place in either the existing Main Stand or The Paddock is part of the process.

Fans have been told that they “will be given priority on selecting the seats in the Upper Tier which have been reserved specifically” (via Echo).

However, lots are unhappy.

One fan who spoke to the Echo said he had sat in-line with the penalty area at the Kop end for 20 years, but would now be moved to the Upper Tier and in-line with the halfway line.

“I’ve been speaking to the club and having a look at my 360 degree view of where I am in the new stand. I’m really very angry at the block that I’ve been allocated and apparently I’m not allowed to change,” he said.

“It’s grossly inferior to the seat that I’ve currently got. I can’t understand for the life of me, if we’re building a massive new stand, why I’m being pushed out to the side.”
