Let’s hope stuff life this doesn’t add a few million to potential summer price-tags!
Germany downed Italy 4-1 last night, and Mario Gotze and Jonas Hector put in superb individual performances.
Yesterday, both were strongly linked with summer moves to Liverpool (such as here in the Mirror), meaning many Reds played extra special attention to their game last night with Antonio Conte’s Italians.
It was one way traffic, but this moment between Julien Draxler, Gotze and Hector was the best of the night. Bayern man Gotze plays a sumptuous back-heel pass to Draxler who dribbles through and squares for Hector to finish.
This goal made it 3-0, but Gotze had already registered one of his own at the end of the first-half. He’s only pint-sized, but the little playmaker rose to beat two defenders with his head at the back-post.
It would be really, really great if we signed these guys – Gotze especially.
