Mario Balotelli offered monstrous £225k-per-week Liverpool-get-out package

This for us seems to suit all parties…

According to Il Milanista, Chinese officials from Jiangsu came to Milan to speak with Mario Balotelli and his representatives over Easter regarding a whopping summer deal that would make him one of the world’s highest paid players.

Their report claims the controversial Italian was offered €15m per year, which translates as £225k-per-week to sign next season. That’s over double what he’s currently on at Liverpool (as we’re sharing his wages with the Serie A club), and will surely turn his head considering he’s been completely atrocious for two seasons now – one with us and one back at AC Milan on loan.

As a result, Milan have no intention of signing him permanently, so one of our jobs in the summer transfer window is to offload Balotelli for the highest possible profit, and the best way of doing that would be to take advantage of the Chinese market.

Since we signed the 25-year-old forward, his stock’s plummeted. Pundits suggested we’d picked up a bargain at £16m, but Balotelli’s lack of work-rate, goals and industry made him a total liability.

Let’s hope he fancies a move to China, as there’s no way in a million years he’ll feature in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
