Liverpool beat Bournemouth 2-1 with a much changed side, but in truth it should have been more, largely thanks to the aforementioned pair.
During his post-match interview, Klopp praised Sturridge, the goalscorer – but couldn’t find words for Allen’s performance – instead choosing to puff his cheeks in disbelief!
The Welshman controlled our tempo and dictated the game from a central position. With Jordan Henderson and Emre Can out until the end of the season, Allen will play a huge role in the coming weeks – potentially in the Europa League as well.
