Big fitness boost for Liverpool ahead of Everton clash

Jurgen Klopp can call upon Divock Origi tomorrow, after the young forward trained normally today ahead of the Merseyside Derby, Goal reports.

Our talented striker turned 21 yesterday, but there was doubts about his availability for the Premier League tie with Everton after he took a knock to the back during his 15 minute cameo against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Thankfully further assessments have shown no further damage, and Origi will be ready to lead the line at Anfield.

Klopp though has a decision to make over who he’ll start up top, with Daniel Sturridge terrific over the past two weekends. He scored against Stoke during the 4-1 battering and was the best player on the park against Bournemouth – adding another goal and hitting the woodwork twice.

Liverpool’s manager uses Sturridge sparingly, aware of the forward’s horrible fitness record, but it’ll be hard to leave him out of the Derby when he’s our best player on current form.

Origi though is similarly playing very well, bagging in both legs v Dortmund and notching a brace versus Stoke.

There’s a slim chance Klopp will select both, although this means some of the attacking midfielders will have to miss out.

Either way, it’s a very nice problem to have.
