Red Star Belgrade have already won the Serbian title, and that was perhaps the reason they succumbed to a 3-1 loss to Vojvidina yesterday, but Marko Grujic still managed to steal the show with a beautiful individual goal.
The 19-year-old, now a member of the full international squad, nutmegged a defender before coolly finishing in the keeper’s far corner. He uploaded the goal to his Instagram page, clearly pleased with his efforts.
Grujic signed for Liverpool in January, but chose to spend the rest of the season with his parent club, before joining up with his new team-mates properly in the summer ahead of our pre-season trip to America.
It’s clear we’ve got a serious talent on our hands.
