Jurgen Klopp reckons Anfield has been so pumped during our Europa League run that Liverpool’s ground currently possesses perhaps the best atmosphere on the planet.

While it can sometimes go a little quiet for Premier League fixtures, European nights have been sensational.

At Anfield, the crowd played a massive part in wondrous victories over Manchester United in the Last 16, Borussia Dortmund in the quarters, Villarreal in the semis – and our home support is a genuine reason we’ve progressed through to the final – taking play on May 18th.

“We had great atmospheres, maybe the greatest in the world in this moment,” Klopp told today’s press-conference ahead of the Europa League Final next Wednesday.

“It’s been more difficult to enjoy Liverpool football last few years. This team has given those moments back. That’s nice, that’s one of the signs we spoke about. We can use that.”

Sadly, we won’t be able to take all of the Kop to Switzerland with us, as UEFA have stupidly decided to stage the game in a venue which only allows Liverpool 10,000 tickets, only half of which have been won by real fans in the ballot.

As a result, those in the ground will have to make as much noise as possible to act as our 12th man, though it won’t be hard to out sing Sevilla, who haven’t been able to sell 400 of their tickets.

The XI Klopp will select is likely to be similar or identical to the one which started the Chelsea game, and we’d be surprised to see a variation from this: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Toure, Moreno; Can, Milner; Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino; Sturridge.
