Liverpool propose interesting swap deal with AC Milan for Mario Balotelli

In an attempt to get Mario Balotelli out of the club this summer, Liverpool offered his current loan team AC Milan a swap deal, according to Italian outlet Di Marzio.

They suggest that we’ve asked for talented young striker M’baye Niang in exchange for the wantaway Italian, but sadly, the Serie A giants issued a flat refusal – meaning we’ll have to work out a different way of offloading Balotelli.

Niang has been injured for much of this season, but according to the report, will be watched by Liverpool and Tottenham scouts this weekend as Milan take on Juventus in the Italian Cup Final.

Niang is 21-years-old, physically impressive, and can play either centrally or on either flank – but it doesn’t look like he’s Anfield bound this summer.

Balotelli is a certainty to depart still however, and Liverpool’s sole task now is to maximise our sell-on price. The striker has endured two horrible seasons which has totally decimated his market value, so our best chance of receiving a payday would be to sell the 26-year-old to a Chinese Super League club.

A report in the Express at the end of March claimed that Balotelli was already in discussions with a team from the Far East, where his extravagant wages would still be met… (They definitely won’t be in Europe.)

Whatever happens with the troubled forward, we just want it done quickly. We don’t want his influence disrupting Jurgen Klopp’s pre-season plans.
