Last night was horrible for plenty of reasons, but one that will live long in the memory after the game is the clip of a ‘fan’ running onto the pitch and forcing an iPhone into Coutinho’s face – with the Brazilian on the verge of tears.
Our playmaker, who had a stinker last night, did well to not kick off, posing for a second or so before walking off to indulge in further commiserations.
This for us though just sums up what’s wrong with modern football. How did a fan who cares more about a photo with a player than the fact Liverpool have just lost in a cup final get a ticket in the first place? The ‘supporter’s’ hat is emblazoned with the word ‘RESPECT’.
