Steven Gerrard homesick in USA and desperate to come home

He’s only been away for a year, but it seems as though Steven Gerrard misses Merseyside as much as Liverpool Football Club misses him.

According to The Mirror‘s US sources, Steven and his wife Alex are homesick and desperate to return home within a matter of months.

Steven is more than halfway through an 18-month contract with LA Galaxy, but he may leave the MLS side before his deal expires, with The Mirror suggesting he has been offered a coaching role back at Anfield.

Obviously, we would welcome our former captain back with open arms anytime. The man is a Liverpool legend and could help Jurgen Klopp off the field immensely.

Since leaving Liverpool for LA, Gerrard has scored two goals and provided three assists in seven MLS games.

During his glittering Reds career, he bagged 120 times in 503 matches – and that’s just in the Premier League!

He scored 65 more goals in other competitions.
