LFC transfer talk: Turkish homes offered to outcasts, Barca winger’s silly asking price, Spurs bid could save us from ourselves

The latest LFC transfer talk from around the world.

After his failed loan move at Anfield, Steven Caulker could be set to stay in the Premier League, with The Guardian suggesting a £6.5m move from QPR to Crystal Palace is in the works.

From one out-of-favour centre-back to another, Martin Skrtel’s representative has confirmed that Besiktas are on a list of clubs keen to sign the Slovakian.

Agent Karol Csonto insists that Skrtel is not certain to leave though, telling Slovakian TV station Markiza: “Besiktas is one of those interested in Martin, but we haven’t reached a point where I can confirm Martin is going there, or anywhere else.”

Skrtel is not the only Reds player to be linked with Turkey, because The Mirror claim that Galatasaray – who finished sixth in the Super Lig this season – want Mario Balotelli. Good luck to them!

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona are demanding that we pay a ridiculous £45m – the value of his release clause – for rapid winger Aleix Vidal, who is apparently on Jurgen Klopp’s wish-list.

Finally, The Express claim we could lose out to Spurs in the race to sign Shane Long. Let’s hope they’re right! After all, another overpriced run-of-the-mill mid-table Premier League striker is the last thing we need this summer.
