When has selling our best players ever got us anywhere fast?
It doesn’t matter what price we get for them, they cannot be replaced. We sold Alvaro Arbeloa and replaced him with Glen Johnson. We sold Xabi Alonso and replaced him with Alberto Aquilani. We sold Luis Suarez and replaced him with Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli.
But many Reds think we should consider selling Coutinho amidst PSG’s interest, because the Brazilian went missing a few times last season.
He still scored 12 goals last term, more than Mesut Ozil, David Silva or Kevin De Bruyne.
Does the fact PSG, who can afford practically any player in the world and have Angel Di Maria, Edinson Cavani and Marco Verratti on the books, want him – not indicate that Coutinho is probably worth keeping?!
According to this lost, apparently not…
*FACE PALM*
Coutinho is patchy & not used in his best #8 dribbling playmaker role, so we *could* sell to PSG, negotiate for Aurier & sign Götze. #LFC

If Liverpool get £50m for Coutinho they should accept it. He’s massively overrated and only performs in spells

Tears I wouldn’t even care if Coutinho left. We would get £60m for an overrated long shot merchant fraud.

Have PSGs pants down for Coutinho, let him go and replace him; he’s not as good as we think he is, vastly overrated and easily replaceable

I love(d) Coutinho but if PSG are interested and we can sell him for £40m+ we should do it in a heart beat.

Personal opinion, but feels like we’re carrying Coutinho at times. If we get a decent bid then we should sell.
