Echo journo names 5 Liverpool transfer targets, gives Ings update and says Kovacic talk is fake

With so much Liverpool transfer talk going around this summer, it’s hard to separate the nuggets from the nonsense.

Fortunately, Echo journalist James Pearce – who is pretty well connected – has come out to provide a very interesting update.

Pearce says that – despite rumours linking him with Rangers – Danny Ings is going nowhere this summer.

He adds that club officials were “baffled” by the ‘Ings to Scotland’ reports.

Pearce also claims that Liverpool have no interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

As well as revealing the above in an article in the Echo, Pearce took to Twitter to name five genuine Liverpool transfer targets.

He did so after a fan mocked him for seeming to know who weren’t targets, but not who actually were.

A defiant Pearce named Leicester City left-back Ben Chillwell, Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud and ‘possibly a new centre-back’, as well as Southampton’s Sadio Mane or Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze.

Of those Liverpool transfer targets, who would you most like to see join the Jurgen Klopp revolution?
