The lying Italian journalists Liverpool fans shouldn’t trust; after they invented Kovacic news

Posted by

During transfer windows, countless reporters make countless claims, and it’s often difficult for fans to work out what to believe.

At EOTK, we’ve noticed a trend this summer where supporters refuse to believe anything until it’s signed and sealed and players are doing the Melwood lean – which makes sense – although proper Liverpool correspondents such as James Pearce, Tony Barrett, Paul Joyce and Chris Bascombe usually get it right.

Two you should ignore, or at least take with an enormous pinch of salt, are Fabrizio Romano and Emanuele Guilianelli.

They’ve made countless claims already this summer that seemingly have no foundation, and yesterday got every LFC supporter tremendously excited by tweeting that Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic has emerged as a top target…

However, James Pearce of the Echo confirmed that there is no interest whatsoever in the Croatian midfielder, which was backed up Paul Joyce in the Express.

Effectively, the claims made by Romano and Giulianelli are nonsense and fabricated. They get Liverpool fans expectant for the sake of clicks and online hits – when the suggestions actually have no founding.

So Reds; trust proper sources this summer. Ignore journalists with no links to the club who make spurious claims such as these.
