Liverpool transfer roundup: Championship & France star on Klopp’s radar, but top target not for sale

With pre-season looming and the Euros coming to an end soon, the transfer rumour mill has been going into overdrive. We’ve taken a look at some of the biggest stories of the day, to see which players are being linked with a Liverpool switch this weekend.

Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko is apparently the latest player on Jurgen Klopp’s transfer list, with the manager keen on signing the French star this summer (via the Echo).

The Euro 2016 star has been dumped into the Championship with the rest of the Magpies, but doesn’t seem to have any intention of staying there. The 26-year-old has far loftier aspirations, and we could potentially be the ones to give him a route out of Newcastle.

Mahmoud Dahoud has long been linked with a Liverpool switch, and reports have suggested he was among Klopp’s top targets this summer. It has once again been reiterated that he is not for sale by Borussia Monchengladbach however, so we may just have to accept that this one won’t happen this season (via Sky Sports).

Lucas Moura is another Anfield linked star that looks unlikely to make the switch this summer, as the Brazilian winger has moved to play down rumours of a move to Merseyside (via the Mirror).

He has suggested that he’s focused on PSG and not planning to leave, although things change very quickly in the transfer market.

And finally, Real Betis shot-stopper Antonio Adan has also denied that there’s any chance of him leaving the La Liga side for Liverpool this summer (via the Mirror).

This one is hardly surprising or disappointing, as with Loris Karius, Simon Mignolet, and Adam Bogdan at the club we really don’t need another keeper at the moment. It’s always possible that Bogdan could go out on loan or even be sold, but even then it doesn’t look like he’ll be replaced by Adan.
