Liverpool will demand at least £7 million from Sevilla if they want to sign Spanish midfielder, Luis Alberto.

For readers who may have forgotten, we snapped up Alberto in a £6.8 million deal from the same club in the summer of 2013. The talented midfielder impressed intermittently, but was sent back to Spain for a 12-month loan spell with Malaga the following summer.

He scored 2 goals in 15 starts for the Spanish side – enough to convince Deportivo La Coruña to take him on loan for another 12 months in the 2015/16 season.

It was at Deportivo where he enjoyed the finest season of his career so far, starting 29 league games and scoring six goals.

The Echo say Sevilla have not made a formal approach, and that we will not sell for less than £7 million if and when they do.
