We will sell at least nine senior players this summer as Jurgen Klopp starts to build a side of his own.

Christian Benteke, Martin Skrtel, and Jordon Ibe all appear to be on the cusp on agreeing transfers, Kolo Toure and Jose Enrique have already left, while the future’s of Joe Allen, Luis Alberto, Mario Balotelli, and Lucas Leiva all remain unclear.

There will be further departures from the youth ranks – Sergi Canos looks like he’ll join Norwich and Jerome Sinclair has already gone to Watford. (via Mirror)

So far, our only incoming players are Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Joel Matip, and Loris Karius.

Klopp is reportedly keen to trim the squad down significantly; last season we used 39 players in a marathon 63-match campaign. With no European football this term, Klopp clearly wants to focus his efforts on a smaller, more tightly-knit group.
