Liverpool will be looking to sell players over the coming weeks after seeing seven new players arrive at Anfield so far this summer.

Loris Karius, Alex Manninger, Sadio Mane, Marko Grujic, Gini Wijnaldum, Joel Matip, and Ragnar Klavan have all signed for the club.

So far, Kolo Toure, Jose Enrique, Jordon Ibe, Martin Skrtel, Samid Yesil, and Joao Teixeira have left permanently, while Danny Ward and Adam Bodgan have also gone out on loan.

But Chris Bascombe, writing in the Telegraph, now says the focus will be on adding to the list of departures.

He claims Joe Allen will be “sold in the coming days”, and that Christian Benteke, Mario Balotelli, and Jon Flanagan are also likely to leave before the transfer windows closes.

Doubts also remain over Lucas Leiva’s, Luis Alberto’s, and Lazar Markovic’s futures at the club – though Bascombe does not reference them in his article.
