Ovie Ejaria is set to be called up by Nigeria for their game against Tanzania in September.

Our impressive midfielder and Arsenal’s starlet Chuba Akpom are both set to be included, according to the Echo.

The AFCON qualifier is scheduled for September 2nd, with the squad announced a couple of weeks before.

If Ejaria accepts the call-up, he could mean he plays a senior international match before making his full Liverpool debut.

“Akpom and Ejaria will no doubt be in the team for the Tanzania game, Yusuf has already confirmed he will call them up if they are willing to commit to Nigeria,” a source said to Owngoalnigeria.com (cited on Echo).

“Akpom according to the NFF has indicated interest to play for Nigeria but Ejaria we are yet to establish contact with him but since he trained with the Under-17 in 2013, we are confident he wants to play for Nigeria.”
