Mamadou Sakho left it a week or so to react publicly to being sent home from Liverpool’s Tour of America by Jurgen Klopp.
The manager punished our French centre-back for repeated lateness and a lapse attitude, and he was asked to train alone at Melwood instead of continuing his achilles rehab alongside the squad stateside.

Now, Sakho has posted a training montage to his Instagram page which shows how hard he’s been working to prove to the manager and fans he’s ready to make up for the mistake.
At the end of the clip, Sakho pans to a sign which reads ‘Power’ and ‘Dedication’ – two things he’s renowned for at his best.
Let’s hope he can put this mess behind him, get fit and focus on football.
