Sadio Mane has scored his first ever goal for Liverpool to put us 1-0 up against Barcelona at Wembley. (Echo)

Adam Lallana deserves the most credit, nipping in to steal the ball on the half-way before driving forward, playing a one-two with Firmino on the edge of the Barca box, then nutmegging a defender to give Mane a one-on-one with Ter Stegen.

The goal was met with thunderous cheers by the 90,000 fans inside the stadium, who appear to be treating the game more like a competitive fixture than a friendly.

Mane himself seemed unsure whether to react calmly or celebrate wildly as the ball hit the net – eventually choosing a combination of the two by telling everyone to relax before his emotions got the better of him.

We are currently mid-way through the first-half and Liverpool have undoubtedly been the better side.

It’s unclear whether or not Klopp will make mass changes at the break.
