Jurgen Klopp has said he’s not worried about our tough start to the new season.

We start the campaign with four consecutive away games – as a trip to Burton Albion in the League Cup is sandwiched between league visits to Arsenal, Burnley, and Spurs.

It’s all because of the ongoing Anfield redevelopment, which is now extremely near completion.

“We can’t change it,” Klopp said to the Echo.

“If you look for excuses before you start the season then you have a problem.

“Of course the start is difficult. It’s not just away, it’s away at Arsenal. Second game, a team who were promoted last season, on a high with a great atmosphere. Then Tottenham.

“It’s not easy but the Premier League is never easy. I haven’t thought for a second about it.

“I only think about the teams we play, not where we will play. We will be ready.”

The first home game of the season will be against reigning champions Leicester on 10th September, but we will then be away again the following weekend as we travel to Chelsea. It means that five of our first six games in all competitions see us take to the road.

“We take it like it is. You have to play all of them home and away at some stage.

“We start with three away games so that means later in the season we will have some home games in a row,” concluded Klopp.
