Reliable journalist insists Klopp is not looking at left-backs – will persevere with Moreno

Jurgen Klopp is not in the market for a new left-back.

At least, that’s according to the Express‘ normally reliable Liverpool FC correspondent, Paul Joyce.

Moreno endured another questionable afternoon at the Emirates, giving away a penalty with a rash challenge on Walcott before being caught too far up the pitch for Arsenal’s opener just moments later.

But Joyce says Klopp will stick by the Spanish full-back as the transfer window nears its conclusion.

“Klopp is prepared to work with Moreno having been unwilling to pay £20million for Germany full-back Jonas Hector,” he writes.

He stresses that Klopp also believes Clyne, Milner, and even Ragnar Klavan can fulfil the role if a nasty injury forces Moreno out of the side.

At the end of the day, we have to trust Klopp. Would we like to see a new left-back sign before the end of August? Yes. Will we support the boss regardless of what happens come September 1st? Absolutely.
