Klopp hints at Danny Ings inclusion ahead of Burnley Premier League clash

Jurgen Klopp has appeared to suggest that Danny Ings has a chance of being involved in our game against Burnley this weekend.

Ings missed the vast majority of last season with a knee ligament injury, but has quietly been working to regain full fitness throughout the summer after making a brief return cameo against West Brom on the final day of last season.

“I like Danny,” Klopp admitted. (via Echo)

“I talked to him last week and said in my opinion it made more sense that he collects game time. He scored a goal and it was all good.”

Ings played for our U23s side in their season opener against Southampton last weekend. The young Reds were thumped 4-1, but Ings scored the only goal.

“It’s the same with all the players – show me your best and then give me difficult decisions to make,” continued the boss.

“Hopefully it stays like this and on Friday I have to make difficult decisions because no-one has given me the sign that they don’t want to be involved.”

It means we might have a full compliment of strikers to choose from on Saturday, with Sturridge, Origi, and Firmino all also fully fit.

Who would you pick up top? Does Ings deserve a chance? Let us know in the comments.
