Mamadou Sakho heading for loan move as Klopp shuffles his pack [reliable]

Jurgen Klopp could let Mamadou Sakho leave on loan before the end of the transfer window.

The German’s relationship with the defender has taken a hammering in recent months, first with the failed drugs ban and then with the behavioural issues while on tour in the USA.

Now multiple sources, including the Telegraph, Tony Barrett, and the Guardian, have said a loan move could be imminent.

Chris Bascombe writes that the move would be to allow the Frenchman “to regain his fitness and form”. Sakho’s last game for us was the 4-0 win against Everton – a game in which he scored.

He was then banned for the remainder of the season, missing the Europa League final and the Euros. Days after being cleared to return he got injured and thus failed to get any serious game time in the pre-season.

It’s thought it would only be a loan move – apparently Klopp still sees a future for Sakho at Liverpool.
