Tiago Ilori has failed to find a new club and so will remain at Anfield until at least January.
He will be sixth of seventh choice centre-back behind Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan, Mamadou Sakho, Joe Gomez, and possibly Lucas.
He was recalled from an unsuccessful loan spell at Villa last January and featured a couple of times in last season’s FA Cup, but could not convince Klopp his future lay at Anfield.
The Mail are reporting he will spend the season with the U23 squad. He will be given the responsibility of using his experience to guide some of our younger players through the ranks.

Granada and Valencia both wanted to take him on loan, but it seems we were far more interested in doing a permanent deal. And even then, we were not prepared to let him go for a cut-price fee.
