Revealed: The two Bundesliga stars that we WILL make new bids for after they got away this summer

Two signings got away from Klopp this summer, both of whom he really wanted in his squad.

According to the Echo, the two players in question are Mahmoud Dahoud and Christian Pulisic. It was common knowledge that we made a bid for Pulisic earlier this week, but the interest in Dahoud – while rumoured – was never confirmed.

However, the article states that we WILL renew our interest in future transfer windows.

It is claimed that the stumbling point for both deals was their parent clubs, neither of whom were particularly keen to do business. Borussia Monchengladbach were reluctant to lose Dahoud after already selling Granit Xhaka to Arsenal, whereas Dortmund were unwilling to sell their teenage star for £11 million.

It is thought we will try again for both next summer, especially as Dahoud will be entering the final 12 months of his contract. A lot of our success will depend on whether or not we can secure a top four place this season.
