The weather? Nope. The ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ anthem? Perhaps – though Klopp also had that at Dortmund. The city and it’s people? Probably.
Turns out, none of those three things made Klopp’s list when revealed why he agreed to join Liverpool in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

So what were his top three inspirations?
Hilariously, Klopp named the colour of our kits as his top reason for moving to the North West. We’d like to think he was joking – but who knows (German humour, eh?).
Number two was was our stadium, and number three was the people already involved at the club.
“We can start with the colour,” Klopp said. “Then the stadium, the people in this club.”
(We’d like to think the people of the city was number four and YNWA was number five, but sadly, he didn’t delve that deep!)
