Antonio Conte heaps pressure on David Luiz ahead of Liverpool clash

Antonio Conte has confirmed that summer signing David Luiz will be handed his second Chelsea debut tomorrow night when we travel to London for a game against his outfit.

Luiz, who was only sold to PSG two years ago for £50 million, returned to Stamford Bridge on the final day of the transfer window.

He will take the place of John Terry who has been ruled out for ten days with a ligament injury in his foot (BBC).

Chelsea fans better hope the erratic Brazilian is good at handling pressure, because the new Blues boss has told the media that he is expecting a very good game from the player.

“We expect him to play very well,” Conte told the pre-match press conference. “We know David is a good player.” (Echo).

History might suggest he is not actually very good at handling pressure — we seem to remember a certain World Cup semi-final where David Luiz was wholly or partial culpable for a significant number of the seven goals his side conceded!
