One great stat that shines a light on why Sadio Mane is so good

Posted by

Sadio Mane was the headline deal in our summer transfer window.

Costing £35 million from Southampton, the Senegal international has quickly become a fan favourite for his direct style, incredible speed, and propensity to score a goal.

He has already managed to find the net three times in the league, despite only playing five games (he missed the Burnley game with a shoulder injury).

He enjoyed another fine display yesterday, terrorising the Hull full-backs and scoring a wonderfully well-taken goal.

In the post-game analysis, one stat shone above all others, underscoring when Klopp was so desperate to get his man during the summer:

  • He has now scored 11 goals from his last 16 attempts across his last 13 Premier League games for both Southampton and Liverpool combined. (Echo)

How good is that?! How utterly devasting.

We could quite easily see him ending up the season with 15 or more goals at least. He might even make 20 in all competitions.

Do you agree?
