Klopp tells Liverpool to stop moaning at referees

Liverpool were the victim of some pretty dodgy refereeing from Michael Oliver and his assistants on Saturday, but thankfully, we managed a 2-1 comeback win anyway.

In the first-half especially, Olivier seemed to back the home side, booking Daniel Sturridge for diving instead of giving a pen, while his linesmen missed more than one Swansea offside.

For Jurgen Klopp though, this doesn’t matter. He wants his side to ignore any hardships and focus only on what they need to do on the field.

“We lost patience and were moaning about decisions. We need to stop that,” he told Eurosport.

“We were angry with ourselves, but we got cooler. In my job I can see that, but not change a lot until half-time. It’s important that when you are not brilliant, you are still able to win.”

As Klopp indicates, it’s perhaps most impressive that we managed to leave the Liberty Stadium with three points, even without being at our scintillating best.

In recent matches we’ve thrashed Hull, Leicester and Derby, while beating Chelsea too. We didn’t play quite as well against Swansea, but they didn’t allow us to early on. The fact we’ve won a second Premier League game this season having conceded first (we also did so verses Arsenal on opening day), shows the spirit in Klopp’s squad.
