Adam Lallana struggling to overcome groin strain – remains major doubt

Adam Lallana is still a major doubt for our game against Man Utd on Monday night as the England midfielder struggles to overcome a groin strain.

He was replaced midway through the second half against Swansea two weeks ago, and has been undergoing intensive work to try and get him ready.

But according to the Echo, the 28-year-old is struggling to shake off his issue. Sadly, it means he is looking increasingly unlikely to make the side when we line up against Mourinho’s men.

It brighter news, it has been announced that Wijnaldum has not suffered a hamstring issue and is instead dealing with a hip complaint. According to the same Echo article, he could yet be ready in time to play Man Utd.

Who should step up into the side in the event that Lallana is not ready? Would you play Emre Can or Brazilian Lucas Leiva? Or could the stage even be set for Marko Grujic? Let us know in the comments…
