[Reliable] Joe Gomez wanted on loan by a Premier League and Championship club

Bournemouth and Huddersfield are both interested in signing young defender Joe Gomez on loan in the January transfer window.

He returned to full training last week, but it’s expected he will be a long way short of match fitness after almost a year out injured.

The Echo say that despite the rumours linking him with a move, he is only focussed on working under Klopp and making himself available for selection at Anfield.

It is understood that Huddersfield manager David Wagner hopes that his relationship with Klopp might help smooth the passage for a deal.

Bournemouth were close to signing Gomez before he moved to Anfield and would be interested in doing a similar loan deal.

It’s thought we remain wary of rushing him back, and that Klopp’s current plan is to ease him back into action with the U23s over the coming weeks and months – thus adopting a similar approach to that taken with Danny Ings.
