Inside source leaks eye-opening Liverpool January transfer news RE 55 goal hitman

Former Premier League footballer, talkSPORT presenter and lifelong Liverpool fan Micky Quinn claims that he’s heard from a source inside that Daniel Sturridge could leave in January.

He told the radio-station (admittedly, not something we enjoy quoting), that Jurgen Klopp has had enough of the forward’s lacklustre performances and his sulky attitude.

While Liverpool were purring at Anfield against West Brom at the weekend, Sturridge sat on the bench – emotionless. But it was pretty obvious what was going through his head.

“I’ve heard on the grapevine that Klopp is not happy with Sturridge,” Quinn told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

“Klopp really gave him an ear-bashing a couple of games ago.

“To me, the one thing about Liverpool is they’ve got so much talent in attack,” he added.

“They’ve got Coutinho, Firmino, Origi, Lallana – there are a lot of options and it’s probably the one position where they can afford to let a player go.

“He doesn’t look the same player does he? You can’t fault his goalscoring ability, but does he work hard enough in the other aspects of the game?

“I think he might be gone in the January transfer window.”

We’d like nothing more than for the forward, who’s scored 55 goals for Liverpool, to turn it around and impress Klopp.

Because if one of them is going, it’s going to be the striker – not the manager who’s recently signed a six-year contract extension and has the adulation of supporters worldwide.

Sturridge has incredible talent, but his attitude has to match it. It’s a challenge – and it’s up to the player and nobody else to take it on head first.
