Barely believable stat reveals how good Loris Karius is in the air

Ok, so some people have not been too impressed with what they’ve seen from Karius so far.

Frankly, it’s bonkers. The lad has just arrived, missed a chunk of pre-season with an injury, and is still a baby in goalkeeping terms. There is absolutely nothing to suggest he won’t go on to be a top, top keeper for us.

And yet some people aren’t happy.

One of the things they point to is Karius’ confidence in his area. They say he’s dodgy when coming for crosses and that he looks like a liability.

If you’re one of those people, consider this stat:

  • Karius, amazingly, has a 100 percent success rate when coming for crosses this season. He hasn’t fumbled, dropped, or spilled a single one. (stat via Opta, cited in Mail).

Give the lad a break, show some faith in Klopp’s decisions, and support him properly. He could and should be our number one for years to come.
