Their report claims that Sturridge is growing increasingly unhappy by his role on the bench for Liverpool, for whom Jurgen Klopp has decided Roberto Firmino is the first-choice ‘centre-forward’ – although the Brazilian’s actual role at the fulcrum of the side is much more fluid.

What’s more, young Belgian Divock Origi is often used off the bench ahead of Sturridge, who during his injuries over the past few seasons was considered by many Liverpool fans as our most crucial player and an automatic starter when fit.
Now, he’s a great rotation/back-up option, and he’s doing excellently in the EFL Cup or from the bench in the Premier League when used…
On a person level though this doesn’t suffice, but he’s far too good to move to either West Ham or Stoke. What’s more, £28m doesn’t seem enough, considering we got more than that for Christian Benteke who was nowhere near Klopp’s first XI.
We urge Sturridge to remain patient – we’ll need him in January especially when Sadio Mane goes to the AFCON and potentially before then if there’s any injuries.
