Liverpool are fighting Real Madrid for 18-year-old Spanish striker

Liverpool want to raid Valencia’s Academy again, having previously brought Pedro Chirivella to the club, claim Spanish publication SuperDeporte.

This time, we’re after Fran Navarro, who’s 18-years-old and is earmarked as a future starting centre-forward for the La Liga giants.

The report suggests Real Madrid are also keen on Navarro, who recently lit up a UEFA Development Tournament in which Spain beat France in the final.

Navarro’s contract expires in 2019 so he’d require a transfer fee if we wanted to acquire him in January.

He’s not made an appearance for Valencia this term, so if he were to join, he’d become a member of the Under-23 side under Michael Beale – as he’s not yet ready for Premier League football.

Liverpool are a mighty attractive proposition for a talented young player right now though, with the likes of Ovie Ejaria, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn all making debuts this season under Jurgen Klopp.
