Look what Brad Jones uploaded straight after Karius error…

Brad Jones is a top lad and real professional, which makes us think this was just pure coincidence.

But after West Ham’s goals yesterday, which our keeper Loris Karius could have done better on, the Aussie uploaded this Twitter post – celebrating his award for the Eredivisie’s best keeper of 2016!

Jones left Liverpool in 2015, after making just 11 appearances in four seasons – having been signed by Roy Hodgson in 2010. In fairness, he was never up to scratch, but we’re glad he’s found his level in Holland and don’t imagine this was a ‘You should never have let me go’ post!

Now though at Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has a serious goalkeeper dilemma, whether he’ll admit it or not. Karius is so bereft of confidence right now it may be a kindness to pull him out the side so he does no longer lasting damage to himself or our chances this term.

Simon Mignolet is waiting in the wings, and it might be time for the Belgian, who actually started the campaign pretty well, to come back into the side for the Middlesbrough game on Wednesday.
