We don’t know how (or why?) he’s done it, but he’s painstakingly trawled through footage from the Russian leagues to find every goal and assist from Quincy Promes so far this season.
If this wasn’t enough, he’s also found every goal and assist in 2016/17 from Sardar Azmoun, Christian Pulisic and Julian Brandt, our other confirmed targets.

As he moved to Russia in 2013, we’ve only ever seen highlights of Promes, no.1 January target, but from these examples this term – it’s no surprise Jurgen Klopp is considering him as a temporary replacement for Sadio Mane – when the Senegalese is at the AFCON.
Promes primarily starts from the right but drifts centrally and is expert at beating his man. He actually has a more impressively powerful shot than Mane, but shares our winger’s pace and direct running.
He hasn’t got Premier League experience, but in terms of his attributes, he seems perfect.
For the right price, we’d be delighted to see this happen. With Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino and Promes – we should have more than enough firepower to navigate January.
