Excited Klopp gives a ‘child at Christmas’ feel to special Manchester United clash

We are with you, Jurgen.

The excitement and the adrenaline is beginning to kick in as our biggest game of the season so far approaches. We are ready for Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford, as is Jurgen Klopp, as are his players.

Neither the fans or Klopp’s men need any extra motivation in order to get fired up for this weekend’s contest with not only bragging rights at stake but also the chance to go eight points clear of Manchester United.

If the players are as positive about the game as their manager is, then we can be confident that they will come away  having offered nothing but their best efforts.

Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “When I woke up this morning, I really thought about why I was [feeling] in good shape and then I realised, ‘Oh yes, only two days!’ It’s good, all good.”

“We are excited about the opportunity to go there and show our best.”

“We can lose against each team, but we can win against each team and that’s the important thing. When you are maybe in this moment, after the last games and you can feel good before a game and think ‘Yes, it should be possible’, but then there is this moment before the game when you realise it is this opponent and they are really different to a lot of other teams.”

“That’s what I think will happen on the one side and on the other side, we will realise earlier before the game that we are Liverpool, so let’s show this. We can be different to each other team in the league and that’s what we have to show.”

Klopp assures no panic buys with wise and frankly brilliant transfer attitude

Klopp’s wait for the game is almost over. In two days time we will see how resilient this Liverpool side is when they follow up a couple of testing weeks by confronting an improved United team.

Now is the time to remind our title rivals of why we are to be taken seriously by working towards replicating the explosive attacking football that saw us enjoy such an eye-opening start to the campaign.

Doubts have tried but failed to creep in amongst fans and the belief in this group of players is still there.
