Daniel Sturridge has a weird habit on training ground & match day, says England teammate

We’ve watched Daniel Sturridge play hundreds of games for Liverpool and England, and can honestly say we’ve never noticed this…

But according to Tottenham’s excellent left-back Danny Rose, our striker always enters the pitch backwards?!

“I’ve played with Daniel Sturridge, and I’ve noticed he always walks backwards onto the pitch, both the training pitch and on match day,” the Spurs man told Dressing Room DJ!

We’re convinced we’ve seen Sturridge salute God with his fingers pointing to the air, but then walk on forwards – like every other human being!

Perhaps Rose has a better eye for this sort of thing.

The Tottenham defender has usurped Luke Shaw, Ryan Bertrand and Kieran Gibbs and is easily the England team’s best left-back right now, forming a key part of the way Mauricio Pochettino plays with Kyle Walker on the other side as well.

In Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner, we’ve got two marauding Englishman of our own, and last time out it was the Liverpool pair who performed best as we beat our top four rivals 2-0 at Anfield.

Sturridge didn’t get on, suggesting again that his time at Anfield is maybe nearing its end.

It’ll be interesting to see which clubs take a gamble on him, as in the right tactical set-up, he could still be devastating.
