Manchester City midfielder’s agent says client would consider Liverpool move

Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk notoriously spouts a lot of bullsh*t.

He’s the guy who kicked off because his client didn’t get a birthday cake presented to him by the club, remember!

So we wouldn’t take this quote too seriously, with Seluk declaring a switch to one of City’s rivals, including Liverpool, is a possibility.

He told Sky Sports (cited in the Star): “A move to Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal would be considered.”

Toure is 33 now but is out of contract in the summer, so will be available on a Bosman.

He’s actually one of the best central midfielders to ever play in the Premier League and is criminally underrated by many, but he’s past his best now and a defensive liability.

In truth, Toure’s the antipathy of a ‘Jurgen Klopp footballer’. Our manager demands effort on and off the ball, and while Toure can deliver pure quality when it’s passed to him – he stubbornly refuses to do any dirty work when the other team has it.

Klopp wouldn’t stand for this and we can’t think of many Premier League footballers less likely to join this summer than the Ivorian!
