Anfield is going to get ever bigger, and potentially quite soon.

The Telegraph have confirmed that FSG are actively making plans to expand the Anfield Road End, following the commercial success of the New Main Stand.

The work was completed over the summer and saw Anfield grow to around 53,000 capacity at a cost of £114m, but the hospitality packages on offer have seen us massively increase our match-day revenues.

The plans to extend the Annie Road End won’t include corporate ticketing (which for us is good, considering the current atmosphere), but this means it’s financially less viable for the owners.

However, the report claims planning permission is there to expand before 2019 and that the club are now working on a plan to add more seats at a cost which will still make us money.

We’ve sold out Anfield for every home game this term and there’s still a huge waiting list for tickets. At 70,000 we’d fill the ground, but at 60,000 it will be a doddle.
