Liverpool to set new record on Sunday and reaffirm club as global attraction

Liverpool’s clash with Middlesbrough on Sunday will mark the club’s 29th televised league game of the season, thereby setting a new record.

The game will not only see the Reds’ fight for Champions League qualification go down to the wire but also mean that no other side has been aired live more in one season than Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Only nine of Liverpool’s games have not been shown on Sky Sports or BT Sport, with both channels seemingly benefiting from the club absence from the two European competitions.

Besides this, though, the club’s expansive fan base across the entire world as well as the entertainment value Klopp himself has added are sure to have inspired such regular coverage.

Sunday will see Anfield play stage to Liverpool’s decisive final game of the season in which a win will consolidate a top four spot and secure a place in Europe’s elite competition.
