What Klopp has promised Kylian Mbappe [L’Equipe]

Liverpool are being linked with £100m-rated Kylian Mbappe in both the French and English press.

Dominic King in the Daily Mail states that Jurgen Klopp has been eying the forward all season and that we’re considering a world-record bid for his services.

But L’Equipe, translated by the Independent, have gone one step further, suggesting that Klopp’s already spoken to the player’s representatives and has sold the 18-year-old prodigy his vision.

According to their article, Klopp has promised Mbappe first-team football, week in, week out – something that might not be on offer at Real Madrid, for example.

We find this odd, as it’s pretty obvious a player signed as the most expensive player of all time wouldn’t be sat on the bench!

The thought of Sadio Mane, Coutinho and the like feeding the prodigy is mouthwatering, but we just can’t see it happening.

We also think the news will have been leaked by his agent and not Liverpool, considering the trouble we’ve got in for contacting Virgil van Dijk before an offer was officially submitted.

Southampton reported us to the Premier League and we were forced to publicly apologise, while there’s reports Chelsea are investigating our approach for Dominic Solanke as well.

Should Liverpool not be trying to seal transfers in a linear fashion and agree fees with the clubs first? It doesn’t feel like it’ll end well…
