Roma’s transfer activity points to obvious conclusion

Roma are already working on potential transfers, despite needing to bring money in by the end of June due to FFP regulations, Italian outlet Il Messaggero report.

This suggests heavily that they expect a cash windfall shortly, most likely from Liverpool’s Mo Salah deal, which will mean they can pay the fine and make some moves in the transfer market of their own.

The article claims sporting director Monchi is already in discussions with Turkish champions Besiktas over star midfield target Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The 24-year-old plays in central midfield and excelled in 2016/17.

He’ll cost a fair bit, but much less than the £35m Liverpool are willing to shell out on Salah.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has told his followers on Twitter that Salah has taken matters into his own hands; telling Roma he wants to leave – and we can’t imagine it’ll be too much longer before an announcement is made.

Liverpool are in no rush to agree a fee, but Roma are. The transfer will settle many angry Reds who’ve been dismayed since the bodged pursuit of Virgil van Dijk.
