The Guinean reporter who originally broke that Naby Keita had set his heart on a Liverpool switch has rebuffed some of the information Titi Camara broke yesterday – questioning why our former striker is trying to ‘play journalist’.
Amadou Makadji writes for Foot 224, and had his initial claims about Guinean midfielder Keita wanting to sign for Liverpool supported by Paul Joyce of the Times.

Camara then went a step further and suggested that Keita had spoken to Liverpool and specifically requested the no.8 shirt, but Makadji shot him down.
Here’s his tweets and below is the translation:
Titi qui refuse une interview et qui vient se muer en journaliste pour ventiler de l’intox, pas trop classe ?

Titi, who refuses an interview and turns himself into a journalist to ventilate the poison? Not very classy!
La seule vérité qu’il avance, c’est l’envie réelle de Naby de rejoindre Liverpool.

The only truth he puts forward is Naby’s real desire to join Liverpool.
Naby never asked for any number. 8, 9… https://t.co/MVCkALE0hI

In fairness, we trust the journalist more than Camara, as much as it pains us to say!
Bar the shirt number, which is effectively irrelevant, they’re actually agreeing with each other though.
Keita wants to come and is back in Germany to let Red Bull Leipzig know. Hopefully he’s convincing enough!
