Exciting update in LFC’s £70m Keita chase revealed by key journalist

The journalist who seems to have the inside track on Liverpool’s Naby Keita pursuit, Amadou Makadji, has claimed that a key event have taken place that could define our chance of buying the Guinean.

On Wednesday, the 22-year-old held his meeting with Red Bull Leipzig’s officials and told them unequivocally that he wants to leave and sign for Liverpool.

Makadji claims that now the meeting has taken place, Red Bull Leipzig will take a few days to decide whether they’ll stick to their word and keep Keita against his will, or sell him for a whopping, rumoured £70m, sum.

Below are Makadji’s tweets and the English translation:

“At the last meeting that took place on Wednesday, Naby accompanied by its representatives, reiterated his desire to join the reds”

“The ball is now in the camp of the German club, which will decide in the coming days if he wants to sell or not.”

Makadji has broken all news on Liverpool’s attempts to sign Keita so far, with the English press picking up on it afterwards – so we trust what he has to say.

The only questions that now remain is how persuasive Keita was and how stubborn Red Bull Leipzig choose to be.

Liverpool have the money and are prepared to spend it – it’s just convincing the clubs who own our prospective targets to take it!
