Contrasting reports RE Oxlade-Chamberlain to LFC cause confusion

This morning, we woke up to a story in the Mirror that suggested Arsenal were increasingly confident of keeping Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and that the Englishman would likely extend his deal.

But this afternoon, Sky Sports reported that the 23-year-old is actually no closer to penning new terms at the Emirates and is expected to leave before the end of the transfer window.

Either the player’s agents are releasing contradictory information to the media, or more likely, these outlets are guessing – because his team is silent on the matter.
